Getting Started
Get Streamlinx running in your Discord server in just a few simple steps. No technical knowledge required!
Step 1: Add Streamlinx to Discord
- Click the "Add to Discord" button above
- Select the server where you want notifications
- Review and authorize the requested permissions
- You're all set! The bot will join your server
Streamlinx needs Send Messages and Embed Links permissions to send notifications. These are automatically selected during setup.
Step 2: Track Your First Streamer
Now that the bot is in your server, let's add a streamer to track:
Using Discord Commands
In any channel where the bot has permissions, type:
/streamer addYou'll be prompted to enter:
- Platform: Choose Twitch or YouTube
- Username: The streamer's username (e.g., "ninja" for twitch.tv/ninja)
- Channel (optional): The Discord channel to receive notifications
Once added, you'll automatically receive notifications when this streamer goes live!
Using the Web Portal
Prefer a visual interface? You can also add streamers through our web dashboard:
- Type
/portalin Discord to get your login link - Sign in with your Discord account
- Select your server
- Click "Add Streamer" and fill out the form

Step 3: Configure Your Notifications
Your notifications work out of the box, but you can customize them to fit your community's needs.
Choose Where Notifications Go
By default, notifications are sent to the channel where you run the /streamer add command.
Want to change it? When adding a streamer, specify a different channel:
/streamer add platform:Twitch username:ninja channel:#stream-alertsBoth Free and Premium tiers let you route each streamer to a different channel. Premium unlocks custom templates, webhooks, and 310 streamers (vs 10 in Free).

Streamer Limits
How many streamers can you track?

| Premium | 300 streamers | 10 streamers | 310 total |
Each platform has its own separate limit. For example, Free tier lets you track 5 Twitch + 5 YouTube streamers (10 total).
Checking Your Status
Want to see what you've set up? Use these commands:
/subscriptionShows your current plan (Free or Premium) and how many streamers you're tracking
/portalOpens the web dashboard where you can view and manage all your streamers
